Mercy Johnson set to wed

Yes! It’s no more a rumor! Mercy Johnson has finally confirmed that she is finally getting married officially on the 27th of August 2011. It’s a 4-day event, the court wedding on the 25th, the traditional on the 26th, the white wedding on the 27th, and the Thanksgiving on the 28^th.

The actress said she wanted her marriage during her birthday period and that she got engaged in November 2010. She revealed the name of her fiancé as Prince Odianose Okojie, from Esanland (Uromi), Edo State.

Mercy and her fiancé, Prince Odianose Okojie are members of Christ Embassy and hope to get married there. Final confirmation is expected from the church. The popular Comedian AY Makun will be the MC for the reception. Popular Nigerian stars including Goldie, Chike Ike, Queen Nwokoye, Waje, Empress Njamah and Kefee are set to have an official role in the wedding as bridesmaids.

Meanwhile, a Lagos-based confectionery Cakes & Cream have been commissioned to create Mercy Johnson and Prince Odianose Okojie’s wedding cake.
